Jim Weir is a 14-year veteran of a major Oil and Gas OEM for drilling equipment. He was raised in Beaumont, Texas and attended LAMAR University for a Mechanical Engineering Degree. At a young age Jim was dissasembling everything, gaining a core appreciation for practical engineering. It is this appreciation of simple machines that powers WEIR Innovation. Every design decision is heavily weighted towards practical application, and supported by years of field experience.
Later Jim would attend the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and receive a degree in Technology Commercialization.
